Pl week 3 review

Another difficult win for Manchester city when raheem sterling gave pep's team a 97th minute winner against Bournemouth. Bournemouth had the lead first after which Gabriel Jesus scored an equalizer just before half time. It looks like the cherries were going to share the spoils with city, when 4th officials added 6 minutes and sterling backed the winner at the 97th minute. The goal made him celebrated widely by rushing into the the the fans. With the referee having showed him a first yellow card and issued him the second one for his celebration. Another talking points was the incident between aguero and the vitality Stadium stewards. A wild fan jumped out of the stands to celebrate with the players was pinned down by the steward which led to the loose of  Sergio aguero's temper. Well the stewards were just doing their job to protect the players on the pitch.

Mourinho seems to be unstoppable, with his side earning 9 points in first three games,3 consecutive clean sheets, 10 goals in 3 matches and his players with the top scorer and most assist lukaku and mikhtaryan respectively. Will Manchester United maintain their excellent form and go ahead for the title or fall when when all competition started as they did last season? Let's keep watching when we come back from international break next week.

Chelsea sneaked passed a tough test from everton at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The man they said he can't score while his counterparts were scoring, Alvaro Morata got his name on the score sheet alongside fabregas. Chelsea are looking in a good shape to defend their title unlike the previous season, even though they failed to win in the opening day. Things are starting to change with an away win at spurs and now a convincing win against everton. The future of Diego Costa is still on uncertain as reports says the Spanish straiker is in Brazil. Costa will at least go to atletico Madrid once this year after Chelsea was drawn alongside atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Arsenal were humiliated at the Anfield. Arsenal are not showing signs of title contention as the hopes of their fans are vanishing. Some blame arsene Wenger for the line up(which saw Lacazette, kolasinac, mustafi all on bench). Some blamed the defense line, some Aaron Ramsey's midfield( was too bad to the extent he was substituted at the break). Some the entire squad. Well what ever the problem is the coach can still fix it, he the team wins it's from him likewise if the team loses. So this calls for a new call of #wengerout arsenal fans let's hear your voices..

Barcelona have completed the signing of Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund in a deal potentially worth €147 million.

The €222m received from Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar sparked the Liga side's pursuit of Dembele and Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho in the close season, but they saw bids for each rejected.

While Liverpool have stood firm on their insistence that Coutinho is not for sale, Dortmund have surrendered to Dembele's wishes and allowed him to leave.

He will arrive in Spain over the weekend to undergo a medical and sign his contract ahead of his official unveiling at Camp Nou on Monday.

He is the fifth signing Barca have made in the current window, joining Marlon, Nelson Semedo Paulinho and Gerard Deulofeu in moving to Camp Nou.

UEFA:Group stage draw and awards announed

It's was a good evening for Manchester united fans as they were drawn into an "easy" group a of the UEFA champions league, group opponents will be Benfica, Basel, CSKA Moscow. Diego costa may visit Madrid at least one more time this season after his club Chelsea was drawn in group c alongside his former club, Atletico Madrid. Liverpool also got themselves an easier group with Sevilla the only team looking as a threat. Manchester city may only find one club threatening as well, which is Napoli. All the English teams were happy with the draws except for Pochettino's team, Tottenham will face the defending champions Real Madrid, German Borussia Dortmund. It's going to take a lot for spurs to qualify from the group.

Another event that took place same evening, same place was the UEFA awards(as usual). Cristaino Ronaldo successfully retained his award of best men's player of the year by beating his long time rival Leonel messi and Juventus veteran goalkeeper Buffon. Fellow Real Madrid team mates Luka Modric and Ramos won the best midfielder and best defender respectively. Lieke Martens won the women's player of the year award.

Pl weekend preview

Another weekend full of excitement in the epl. It started at the liberty Stadium where Swansea took on Manchester United. Jose mourinho's men looked to be in fine form as they secure their second consecutive four nill wins in a row. United are on top of the table with eight goal difference and new comers Huddersfield town in second place(starting to dream of a fairy tale). It looks like their is no stopping looking after the straiker is proving his worth by scoring his third in two, and United now eight without reply, lukaku top scorer(3), mikhtaryan top assist (3) and David de gea 2 clean sheets. What a perfect start for the red devils but Jose mourinho seems not to be carried away amid United won their last 3 games last season but ended at sixth place. Next match is a cheeky one for United, Leicester city on the 26th/8 before the international break.

Arsenal fans have much to say after stoke city continued their fine form against arsenal at the bet 365 Stadium. Though arsenal were able to break the spell last season. Stoke still manage to register yet another win at the stadium against same folks. Will arsenal fans start a new call for "#wengerout" after the lose cuz nothing seems to have change at arsenal. Alexis Sanchez has been out for the first two games which is a less surplus to the attack and a reason for arsenal fans to hold hold of. Next stop is a trip to mersyside to take on Liverpool on Sunday 27th/8 2017. Will arsenal go to quit a quick call for "#wengerout" let's watch out.

Liverpool seems to be weaker without coutinho. When they almost registered another one point on Saturday when they narrowly escaped draw from crystal palace at home. Without him they registered a frustrating Draw on their opening match. Now without him again they managed to get one past crystal palace. A 73rd minute goal saves the day for jurgen klopp. And the next stop is a hot one when the gunners visit them on Sunday 27th/8 2017(live streaming link will be available).

Chelsea took all from the London derby at spurs new home Wembley Stadium. A first half brilliant free kick saw Chelsea took the lead for almost an hour of the match. With the man, batshuayi trying to "criticize" Chelsea's new straiker Morata as they say, when camera caught him laughing at Morata when he missed the penalty against arsenal during the community shield match earlier this month, scored a funny own goal from eriksen's free kick.on the 88th minute Alonso completed his brace and secured the first 3 points of the season for Chelsea.

Manchster city,still to be played......

Premier league week 1 review

It was an exciting weekend in England full of drama. It first started at the Emirates where Wenger's men grabbed a winning start from the jaws of defeat on a 7-goal thriller. Arsenal came from behind to seal a 4:3 win from the dangerous Leicester city.

The following day was a disappointment as Liverpool were held 3:3 at watford. Liverpool also came from behind twice. New signing Muhammad salah was impressive and and shows his worth by scoring a goal that gave Liverpool the lead. As the clock ticks by it was looking like Liverpool would take all the three points until a nightmare corner at the 93rd minute was giving to watford, Bristos heading it home to save the day for Marco Silva. It ended 3:3 for Liverpool, a point at least.....

Trouble at the nest of the champions. With Chelsea receiving their fourth red cards in the last three competitive matches. Sorry to say this (Chelsea fans) but Chelsea were thoroughly embarrassed at home by Burnley. An early red came for the blues at the 14th minute which gave the visitors an early advantage to trail 3 nill. Cesc also received his second yellow card of the day. New critized signing Morata kinda silence his critics(for Now)  by scoring and assisting David luiz to give Chelsea some hope. Upon seeing that Antonio conte went desperate, "crazy"(as usual) for the third goal, which never came. So it ended 2 for the blues,3 for Burnley at the Stamford Bridge.

All was well for pep guardiola as Manchester City snatched the three points from a 2  0 victory at Brighton and hove Albion's. The Pl new comers received huge applause from their fans for being able to hold city 70 minutes when Sergio aguero broke the deadlock and followed an own goal from Brighton's defender J. Dunk. It finished 2:0 for pep guardiola and his team.

United found it even more easier as lukaku scored a brace and Anthony martial coming off the bench to score and set up one for pogba. No worries for mourinho this time with his team now sitting on top of epl table by goal difference. The question is will they last their? Let me hear from you guys.keep the conversation going..
As said earlier it was an exciting weekend even though not for (Chelsea and Co), all the top new Straikers have now scored for their respective clubs. (Lacazette, salah, Morata, Rooney, lukaku)

Coutinho hands transfer request to Liverpool to force Barcelona move

Philippe Coutinho hands transfer request to Liverpool to force Barcelona move...Liverpool have rejected Philippe Coutinho's transfer request as he seeks to push for a move to Barcelona. The Brazil international directly communicated this desire to the Merseysiders via email on Friday following a strong statement from Fenway Sports Group (FSG) that his exit would not be sanctioned this summer. Barca saw two bids swiftly batted away for the 25-year-old, the last of which was tabled in midweek and totalled €100 million. Both proposals were accompanied with the message that he was not on the market at any price, a stance repeated on several occasions by Jurgen Klopp. It was furthered with FSG's definitive position that "no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool football club when the summer window closes". In response to that move from the owners, sporting director Michael Edwards was notified of the playmaker's intentions in the afternoon. The Reds are not shifting from their position and insist they will turn down further approaches from Barca.
